Inside View of Why I Wrote "He Chose Me"

Anyone who reads this- you are the first to see my "why" for this book. I just wrote "A Note From The Author" in my manuscript and decided you can see it first- even before my ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) readers!

I want to be absolutely clear on praising God for this book. I could not have done it without His help and my hope and prayer is that it gives Him all of the glory He deserves. He has helped me beyond measure in writing this book and I just want to give credit to where credit is due- my Lord and Savior <3 So here you go, the inside scoop to my why:

"I truly meant it when I said this book was from the Lord. I had other book ideas (curse of the author mind) and trying to decipher which one to write was becoming hard. When reading a YA romance, I felt it in my heart that I needed to write one and express throughout the book godly applications for a godly relationship which leads to a godly marriage.

Granted I did not put God into my story, but His truth and morals are evident, even to the lost world, that I hope and pray you see them throughout Caterina’s mind and actions in this story. I still gave her faults because we all are sinners who fall short of the glory of God, but that’s the beauty of it… we fail, but a loving husband and a loving Father will forgive us when that happens (just as we should forgive when our husband fails).

My marriage is by no means perfect, but living through the things my husband and I have gone through- both during dating and in marriage- we have learned and grown throughout our years of being together. I won’t pick out every part of relatable moments between Caterina and myself and Prince Xavier and my husband, but know- some of those events/actions/thoughts were from experience.

To sum everything up, I pray all of you learn what a godly marriage is and act on it. Marriage is God-ordained and beautiful and I don’t wish upon anyone to miss out on a beautiful, God-ordained marriage for them. I encourage you to seek in your Bible all the passages on marriage and pray over yours (if you’re married currently or if you are a “lady in waiting”). If you don’t know where to begin- find me, reach out to me, and I will try my best to direct you. I want to encourage you and point you to God and His Word. ♥ "

I would really love to know if any of you have thoughts on this. If there are any parts that don't make sense, need further explanation, anything. This will be published inside the book, so anything that needs help on- please reach out to me! (There is a "contact me" form here on my website!) Thanks for reading <3
